State Line Ribbon and Trim Expands Internet Presence
Cayuga, IN (PRWEB) October 4, 2008 -- Sean and Paula Rose began the acquisition process 10 years ago by purchasing the rights to seven states from a company that Sean's parents owned for over 20 years. When the acquisition was complete in 2005, the Roses rechristened the company: State Line Ribbon and Trim, Inc. and started a website for the company, www.StateLineRibbonAndTrim.com.
Beginning in 2007, they decided to add more sites to service the requests for other items that were similar to their decorative packaging line but really needed a site of their own. These new product lines and their corresponding sites can be found on the site referenced in this article.
"Originally, our business was started to help individuals and small companies that needed decorative packaging items, especially all different kinds of ribbon but, couldn't meet the minimum orders being demanded by many of the manufactures," explained Sean. "We are distributors for several decorative packaging and ribbon factories including Offray brand ribbon. Over the years, we have also added a line of tassels for menus, programs, bookmarks, and graduation ceremonies. As well as basket shred, pre-tied bows, custom bows, pull bows, elastic assemblies and more."
Although capable of providing program tassels for Presidential inaugural balls, major Hollywood motion picture producers, and other high profile customers such as Oprah, Christina Aguilera, Holland America Cruise Lines, Makers Mark, Skyy Vodka and many others, State Line Ribbon and Trim doesn't back away from being able to provide items for individuals or lesser known companies. All the while, continuing to add more items to its other sites.
Recently they have added the complete line of Spring-fill shred and a complete line of craft, scrapbooking and art supplies to their product mix. Paula stated, "As we continue to grow, we will be scouring the world for new vendors and new products to meet our customer's needs,"
Aside from adding new products to the site, the Roses have also launched a blog: www.DecorativePackagingBlog.com to accompany their webstore. "The blog will be used to talk about general topics relating to the crafting, fine arts, scrapbooking, and decorative packaging world," said Sean.
Since taking over the company, the Roses have worked diligently to keep State Line Ribbon and Trim, Inc. acclimated to the changing times. Especially since online retail continues to grow and redefine how business is done. Still, the Roses take one element of traditional retail to heart:
"Customer service is what sets us apart from our competition. We work extremely hard to get every order completely right and out the door on time. We've even personally delivered jobs to the customer's location or to a UPS drop box after hours," said Paula. "Moreover, we want to exceed our customers' expectations so we always have a live person answer the phone and every customer gets a hand written thank you note.
About the company: Peak Wholesale Supply became State Line Ribbon and Trim Inc. when Sean and Paula Rose purchased the 25 year old company in full in 2005. Since then, State Line Ribbon and Trim has become one of the leading online resources for decorative packaging, tassels, ribbons, bows, and shred for both large scale jobs and individuals and is hosting a new blog, DecorativePackagingBlog.com.
