Unlike the web based image hosting sites, 72pics does not require any registration by the user. The only thing that is required is the installation the program. The program is connected with the 72pics website, where the images are stored after the user has published the gallery.
However, web professionals have the option to change the FTP settings and publish the gallery to their website. Also there is the option to save the gallery offline.
The application runs on Windows 2000, XP and Vista. It requires the .NET framework. The installation checks if the computer has the framework and if not it redirects you to the location where it can be downloaded
