Local TV Stations and Advertisers Using Internet Broadcasting Products See Record Web Traffic in July and August

Number one sites included: Boston's ABC affiliate WCVB (TheBostonChannel.com), Dallas' NBC affiliate KXAS (NBC5i.com), and Detroit's NBC affiliate WDIV (ClickonDetroit.com), according to Nielsen//NetRatings. In all, 30 station sites set visitor records during the month, according to WebTrends.

The record traffic was driven by weather events and IB's content distribution strategy, such as its content-sharing alliance with CNN.com. IB provides local Web publishers with tools and content that gives consumers relevant information, while enabling advertisers to reach local audiences.

Visitor and pageview numbers represent an aggregate total among Internet Broadcasting's network of more than 70 TV station Web sites.
