PhotoWorks Launches My Share, Allowing Users to Share and Store Photos, Photo Books and Photo Projects from Personalized Web Pages
Seattle, WA (PRWEB) June 27, 2007 -- PhotoWorks®, Inc. (http://www.photoworks.com) (OTCBB:PHTW), the Internet-based digital photo-publishing company, today announced the launch of My Share, a new feature that allows PhotoWorks users to build their own Web pages devoted entirely to their photo albums, photo books and photo projects. My Share bridges the gap between traditional photo sites that allow people to share and store photos, and e-commerce photo sites that allow users to share, store and create products with their photos, but often don't allow them to publicly share those pictures or products.
When creating a My Share Web page, users can share as many of their photo albums and photo books as they like. Easy sorting and viewing tools allow browsers to flip through multiple photo albums and photo book projects from within the My Share, without ever leaving the page. Owners are able to protect their public photo albums and photo books by allowing or not allowing others to buy and/or download through an editing feature in their My PhotoWorks account.
Every My Share page has a unique Web address based around a 'username' selected by owner, allowing people to easily send links to friends and family. Owners can also create profiles that give them the option of sharing information about themselves and their interests with visitors to their pages. Plus, message boards make it easy for friends and family to post comments and suggestions.
In the coming months, PhotoWorks (http://www.photoworks.com) users will also be able to share personalized photo gifts they create, including cards, calendars and keepsake items.
"With My Share, PhotoWorks (http://www.photoworks.com) is creating a unique one-stop shop that addresses everyone's photo needs, from storing and sharing images and ideas, to creating personalized photo products, to purchasing the perfect photo gift," said Andy Wood, President and CEO of PhotoWorks. "It's another step in PhotoWorks' mission of giving people new, creative ways to express themselves and indulge their passions through their digital memories. In the coming months, we'll take things even further by allowing users to sell content and easily share pictures from personal Web sites, blogs and social networking profiles."
